History

The Egyptian American Medical Association (EAMA) is a non profit, non political, educational, and humanitarian organization of medical, dental, pharmaceutical and allied health professionals of Egyptian decent and other nationals who graduated from Egyptian universities.

EAMA was founded by Tarek Alshafie, M.D. on December 14, 2012. The Association was granted a nonprofit status on February 28, 2013 in the state of New York. The initial directors of the association are:
Ahmed Fadil, M.D.
Mona Tantawi, M.D.
Adel Ibrahim, M.D.
Maher Ibrahim, M.D.
Tamer Elbaz, M.D.

EAMA is dedicated to the enhancement of medical knowledge of the member of the association, to contribute to the medical profession, and to support continuing medical education.

We are committed to promote professional relations between members of the medical profession of the United States and Egypt to enhance medical education and the transfer of medical knowledge to Egypt.
