Dr. Tamer Elbaz
Dr. Tamer Elbaz is a graduated from the School of medicine, Cairo University in 1996. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital in 2001, Anesthesiology Residency at State University of NY-Downstate Medical Center 2001-2004 and finally Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Columbia University 2004-2005. Dr. Elbaz started his career as a faculty at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. In 2008, he became the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program Director at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. He transitioned to private Practice, Pain Physicians NY, in 2012. Hi is one of the pioneers in using percutaneous interstitial laser therapy for pain management.
Dr. Elbaz is extensively involved in medical volunteer work in Egypt since March 2011. He is married and has two children.
